Mathura District‘s Chief Development Office (CDO), Manish Kumar Verma was invited to Akshaya Patra on the occasion of Independence Day.

Also present was Bharatarshabha Dasa, Vice President, Communication, ISKCON and Bhavani Singh Shekhawat, CEO, Akshaya Patra UK and over 1,000 students from Government schools.

The event culminated with the hoisting of the flag by the CDO who then went on the address the children present.

After the event, the CDO was taken through the different sections of the kitchen and was briefed about the kitchen operations.

The CDO commended the Foundation’s efforts of feeding so many children in Government schools across India.
